Hi, I'm Deshan — a passionate AI & Data Science undergraduate with hands-on experience building real-world intelligent systems using Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI.

I’ve led and contributed to multiple projects ranging from bird migration prediction using Random Forest and XGBoost, to building a personalized news recommender system using NLP and JavaFX. I’ve also developed innovative generative AI tools like an AI-powered Resume & Cover Letter Generator using Hugging Face & LangChain, and a vision-to-text storytelling tool with BLIP and TinyLlama.

I enjoy solving practical problems with clean, efficient code. Whether it’s building a backend Flask API, designing a full-stack app with Node.js and MongoDB, or deploying an ML model with Streamlit or Gradio — I always aim for solutions that are elegant and impactful.

Beyond tech, I’m a curious learner and an IEEE Student Chapter member. I value collaboration, integrity, and continuous learning. My favorite hobbies include reading about AI ethics, mentoring peers, and exploring productivity systems in Notion.

Work Terms

🕒 Hours of Operation: Available 7 days a week | 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM (GMT+5:30)
💰 Payment Terms: Fixed-price or hourly-based depending on project scope. Milestone payments preferred for larger tasks.
💬 Communication: I prefer clear and responsive communication via Guru chat, email, or WhatsApp. I provide regular updates and quick turnarounds.
