Born in an English teacher's family, I have been born in my blood the gene of language learning and teaching. Since graduation from college as a finance major in 1994, I have worked for different finance departments of different organizations, both Chinese local and foreign. I have experienced quite a few challenges and difficulties in my career, especially since the outbreak of the Pandemic in late 2019. Since then, I have been shifting my roles between a full-time finance professional and a part-time linguistic professional. With the dissolution of my most recent employer, a Chinese local finance training company in late April 2025, I have been working as a freelance linguistist for a few clients from both home and abroad, engaging in projects in connection with translation and interpretation between Mandarin and English, tutoring of finance English to Chinese college students and Mandarin to novice learners from the US as well as audio data labelling and data collection jobs.
Unlike other of my fellow Chinese living in Mainland China, I embrace universal value and exhibit English presentation skills normally beyond the capacity of majority of my countrymen. I highly value integrity without arbitrarily giving promises to others. On top of that, I highly value continuous learning not only for personal development, but also for the preservation of my sustained employability, especially with the advent of the nascent AI technology. Now my current English proficiency stands between C1 and C2. Also I have just completed some online courses on AI.

Work Terms
1. I am available for work for 30 to 40 hours per week, but negotiable for longer hours upon prior notice
2. I prefer to be paid 15 calendar days upon client's confirmation of numbers of chargeable hours worked and the final deliverables
