More than your money's worth

I graduated from college in 1977 with a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities, and spent the next 20-odd years as a professional writer and editor. I wrote about topics from the Pennsylvania State Legislature to the Three Mile Island nuclear accident to mutual fund investing to astrology. My articles were published in local, regional, and national publications.

As the online world began to develop in the late 1980s, I began to get involved there -- first as a writer and content provider, but more and more as a programmer and developer. By the late 1990s, as the world wide web began to emerge in earnest, I found that my work and interests had evolved from the writing/editing side of things to the development/programming side. I more or less "retired" from writing and devoted myself to programming full-time.

As a developer, I specialize in taking a client's vision for his or her online presence and turning it into a reality. When they say, "I want a site that does such-and-such," my job it to make it do what they want. This often involves custom programming, or other customization of pre-bought tools and templates. I listen to your needs, and try to guide you into the most practical and realistic ways of implementing them online.
