PROFESSION AND WORK ETHICS
I'm passionate and hardworking. Time is money. I ensure I do my tasks in time. This is all possible given my rich set of skills in typing, organization,web research, writing, listening and research. I have three years' experience as a nurse and in research. I work at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) beginning 2016. I am a prolific scientific writer and researcher. Some of the papers that I have worked on in my practice include Multi-drug resistant tuberculosis, Surgical sepsis and Maternal health.
In 2017, I was appointed as the hand-washing ambassador at KNH having lead and advocated for hand-washing among hospital staff. In the 2018 report, there was a significant reduction in sepsis particularly among the pediatric group as a result of effective hand washing programs. I work with a local humanitarian non-governmental organization- Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) in Kibera, Nairobi Kenya. The organization focuses on public health, sanitation and water supply to the slum in the city. Due to its works, the organization won the $2 million International Cash Prize.
I perform my duties in an efficient and effective manner with minimal or no supervision. I am a result-oriented employee. In addition, I have vast knowledge in medical editing and transcription.
EDUCATION
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. I also have a diploma in Epidemiology and Bio-statistics from University of Nairobi. Currently I am enrolled for a Masters in Nursing at the University of Nairobi.
HOBBIES AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
When I am off work, I engage in various sporting activities and hobbies. Given my expertise in physical fitness, I do hold fitness session in my local area. I am a tennis fan. I play both lawn and table tennis. I like reading, writing and watching movies.
