I've been working as a back-of-the-book indexer since 2010, for academic presses and authors. I'm most experienced in scholarly indexing in the social sciences and humanities. Particular interests include gender studies, environmental studies, visual arts, gardening, and food studies.
I'm experienced in proofreading as part of the indexing process -- in fact, I can't help noticing errors, even when I'm not looking for them! I have also done proofreading for product advertising and packaging design.
I have done a bit of transcription many years ago and would like to get back into it. I type around 75 wpm.
