I am a seasoned embedded software electronic engineer (with an Instrumentation engineering flair) who has a clear, logical and analytical mind. I am inclined to implementing practical approaches to problem solving fueled by the stamina to see things through to completion. I have a great eye for details. I am eager to learn. I enjoy overcoming challenges; and I am highly motivated to developing engineering systems.
I have worked as an Instrumentation Engineer in the oil & gas industry, commencing as a Field Engineer, and then progressed to a Project Engineer. As a field instrumentation engineer, performed diagnostics and carried out calibrations at metering stations. This was my initial experience in electronics, instrumentation systems and C/C++ programming. Furthermore, my duties as a Project Engineer enabled me acquire skills in instrumentation design, project management & inter-disciplinary team work activities, professional documentation, quality technical writing & presentation, and effective communication.
Additionally, I acquired more technical skills – at École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Génie Électrique (ESIGELEC) in France – for the purpose of designing and implementing electronic embedded systems. Notably, I possess skills for: a) hardware and software co-design; b) sensors interfacing and instrumentation design; c) Digital Signal Processing (DSP) – audio & image processing and algorithm development with emphasis on real-time embedded image processing on an embedded platform & DSP image processing on a desktop PC; d) Electronic Circuit Design; and e) PC applications (for interfacing with embedded systems) development included algorithm implementations using OpenCV API, OpenGL C/C++ Graphics library, SQL, MATLAB simulations, .NET framework (MFC Visual C++ GUI, C++/CLI and C#), Qt GUI framework etc. Furthermore, I can program an FPGA with VHDL. I am equally proficient in Java/Android and Python.
