Taking ideas through the product design process, Idea?Concept?Design?Create
Product Designer, Mechanical drafter, Industrial Designer(10 years), Solidworks(12). I have an undergrad in Product Design & Development, and a Masters in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I work full time as a mechanical designer and I freelance at my side business, Empirical Innovation. Here I use Innovation techniques, 3D modeling software along with 3D printing technology to bring product ideas through our holistic design process. We can start with an idea, a conceptual design, hand sketch, 2d drawing, 3D model, or anything in between. I can take a product as far into & through the design process as necessary. I can produce design concepts, 3D models, 2D renderings, manufacturing/assembly drawings including Bill of materials with costing; functional prototypes and some finished products. I have experience with consumer, industrial, mechanical, and biomedical products. I have manufacturing experience with 3D printing, milling, wood & metal lathe, injection molding, welding, welding and assembly. I have experience bringing products to market, product development, well as helping with marketing strategy through a product's life-cycle.
