US-based senior backend engineer (Chicago, 20+ years) available for
short-contract PHP/Laravel and .NET/C# work.

including hands-on agentic AI workflows and self-hosted LLM adapters
I specialize in the kind of work that gets stuck on other people's
plates: legacy PHP upgrades, "why is this endpoint slow," Stripe and
webhook integrations, WooCommerce customization, ASP.NET Core APIs,
Entity Framework tuning, SharePoint/Entra ID setup, and CI/CD around
either stack (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, AWS/Azure).
I write clean, tested, maintainable code, communicate in plain English,
and finish what I start. If the scope is clear I quote fixed price; if
it's discovery work I bill hourly with a written summary each session.
Native English, US business hours, video calls on request. Happy to

Work Terms
Availability: 20–30 hrs/week for new clients; can flex up for a
scoped sprint.
Rates:
• $55/hr for hourly / discovery / open-ended maintenance
• Fixed price on scoped tasks — minimum $250 project
• 30-min intro call is free; anything beyond that is billable
Process:
1. Kickoff call or written brief — I confirm scope, deliverables,
and any assumptions in writing before starting
2. Work in a shared Git branch/PR when possible so you see progress
3. Written status update at the end of each work session
4. Final walkthrough (async video or live) before invoice
Payment: Guru SafePay milestones for fixed-price; weekly invoicing
for hourly. Milestone released on delivery, not before.
Communication: US business hours (CT). Guru messages within a few
hours during the day; async overnight. Video calls scheduled 24 hrs
ahead when possible.
Not a fit for: sub-$250 tasks, unpaid trials, spec work, exclusive
retainers, or projects requiring me to sign under an alias.
