Java Lead Developer
Hi, my name is Firat. I am a software developer. I have 10 years of for experience in Java Enterprise development and 1 year of experience on big data projects. I like to work on recommender systems, big data, micro services v.s. I worked for startups, e-commerce, telecom and insurance companies. I have a degree on Computer Engineering from Yildiz Technical University Turkey. I like camping and music festivals for fun.
My greatest accomplishment at work:
I have designed and implemented a recommendation system(collaborative filtering) for sahibinden.com which is the most visited local website in Turkey. I had to work with 80 million daily clickstream data and generate accurate recommendations. I spent 40 man/days for academic research, 50 man/days for development and 30 man/days for scalability issues. Now the product is live and 30 million monthly users use it. This product is special for me because i have done almost %90 of work by myself and implementing a recommendation system for a popular website has been a dream for me since university.
