I am Gloria Francesca Pittalis, I'm Italian and I live in Barcelona.
I am a PhD student in History of Art y Musicology at the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona and also part of the POPFEM XXI project on gender studies in popular music.
As a researcher, I am continually inclined to collect, filter, classify and evaluate information, skills that I believe will help me in my careful and efficient work.

During my academic career, I have been able to develop knowledge in various fields such as History, History of Art, Literature, Pop Culture, Musicology and Gender Studies.

For as long as I can remember, I have always drawn on any piece of paper I could find around.
At university I did a year at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in the graphics course, but I had to drop out to devote myself to the theoretical study of art, which is why I am mostly self-taught. What I do and know I have learnt on my own.
After a break dedicated to university, a few years ago I decided to take up this passion of mine again and approach the digital world, buying a tablet.
I'm passionate about art, music, comics and pop culture. Almost every day I watch anime and tv series, I play video games and read manga, a style that is strongly reflected in my drawings.

My project consists of merging realistic portraits of people from pop music/culture with the world of anime.
In addition to this, I make classic drawings inspired by anime and manga.
I'm a native Italian speaker, I am fluent in Spanish and, dealing with academic texts, I also work with English all the time.
