I've always been adamant about getting down to the metal -- this passion came from my beginnings with low-level programming, and naturally spilled over into web development when I got into it. With web apps, I don't think that control and attention to detail should be sacrificed just because it might be "fast" or "convenient"; with the right outlook, it's possible to have it all — swiftness together with fine-grained customization. My system-level beginnings provide me with a solid foundation in networking fundamentals, which I apply to understand, construct and debug web apps at an efficient pace and a fair price.
