Senior Software Engineer
I am a seasoned programmer with 6 years of industry experience and 2 years of experience in academia. These experiences provided me with an opportunity to develop an understanding of what good software is and how to make it. My main priority is to maintain high quality of code from day one. I use the best tools, processes, design patterns, Clean Code and SOLID principles of software development to ensure the best results for my clients.
The two experiences I regard as highlights of my career are: employment in company Kainos, where for 4+ years I had the opportunity to develop software in projects for the government and the insurance, telecommunications, energy and healthcare industries. I mostly worked on the Java platform, which included the Spring framework, Scala and Hadoop. In this period I was promoted and took on many roles in various teams, I was a senior software engineer, a software architect, a business analyst and a team leader. The other experience is my involvement in research in the Bell inequality research team of prof. Zukowski at University of Gdansk. In this job I used Ruby as well as Python and developed high performance applications and optimized their execution speed in compiled languages such as C, C++ and Fortran. I also analysed the results produced by my software, which lead to 3 scientific papers I co-authored between 2010 - 2014.
