As the son of an editor and a proofreader, I was raised to love language and the power it had to not only communicate ideas but to make them feel important, relevant, and demanding of action. Ever since then, I've always jumped at the opportunity to discover new media and learn how they work. Whether it's interning at CBC Radio One's comedy show "Because News"; copyediting articles for The Wheel, a journal of Orthodox Christian thought and culture; picking up a technical writing certificate in my spare time; or sitting down for a game of Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, there isn't much I like better than finding out a new kind of story to tell and a new way to tell it.
