Career Overview
I have more than 10 years of extensive experience working in Information Technology supporting business solutions and operations. Possess a Graduate Certificate Data Science and currently enrolled to continue my goal to earn Master of Data Science.
Presently I am working on a contract basis as a Reporting Analyst in Analytics and Insight Team which we provide reporting needs and administer tabular and dashboard reports processes. I also used excel pivot table, lookup and other function to make it easier for the other team rather submitting sql extracted raw data.
I also worked in a University and I was assigned at Datawarehouse Team and my main responsibilities which involved data analysis, data gathering, data modelling and mapping, ETL scripting and scheduling. I used SVN for version control. Quality Check process is part of our role before releasing new process or task and It routine task that I do before doing version control.
My experienced at Data Warehouse team helped me to enhance my skills in dimensional modelling and to understand the gap between Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence.
I have commercial experiences in using Oracle SQL, MS SQL and MySQL. I am well verse in SQL scripting, MS T-SQL, MS SRRS, Oracle PL/SQL. In Visualisation, I used Tableau, Power BI and Business Objects and I am familiar with QILK.
I have formal education and high degree of knowledge in R, and Python. These are tools needed in my current enrolled course at James Cook University.
I have a good diversified background as, I have worked with companies with strategic development initiative as well as companies with informal approach towards software development, I am comfortable working with large cross functional teams, small teams as well as taking soul ownership of a project and producing the necessary deliverable.
