I have over ten year of experience in technical and academic writing having worked for various online platforms, the private sector as well as Non-Governmental Organizations. As an academic writer, I have experience writing articles on international relations, military science and medical research. As a technical writer, I have experience developing strategic plans, designing projects, conducting surveys, carrying out project evaluations, writing policy positional papers and developing M&E systems including log-frames for complex projects. I have helped organizations develop databases meant to manage their projects more effectively and efficiently. I have worked with various organizations including ADEO/UNICEF, Population Council, Caritas Africa and Business Advocacy Fund among others.
Working in a project funded by DANIDA, I have worked with Business Member Organizations (BMOs) to help them develop strategic plans, conduct research and write policy positional papers. I am well versed with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS, Nvivo, STATA, Epi-info and Excel. I hold Master's degree in Project Planning and Management and Bachelors of Science in Microbiology. I have special interest in molecular biology and bioinformatics.
I am self motivated and a strong believer in hard work and quality services. Having graduated with Bachelors of Science in Microbiology, I ventured into molecular biology and bioinformatics before I was presented with a chance to get into community development. I fast became attracted to project management and my prowess in the same was noticed by my seniors who allocate me more responsibilities. I enrolled for a master's degree in Project Planning and Management, which I completed within 2 years (only two of us graduated in the first batch in a cohort of over 200 students. As a hobby, I have a special attraction to trends in technology and international politics. I also play card games and monopoly.
Work Terms
I am open to working long hours to ensuring that projects are delivered within schedule.I am open to offers and I am available as needed. I prefer situations where we agreed on the total cost of delivering a project, then I can work extra time to ensure I present the deliverables on time.
