Creator. Curator. Comedian? I am a freelance writer, designer, photographer, strategist, and massive nerd.
I've been told I have an active imagination. It's something that used to land me in a lot of trouble growing up, and convinced me that my daydreams were more important than the real world. This was nice to have as a kid, but proved disastrous in the middle of math tests.
In high school, I took an "Intro into Journalism" class that provided me with the creative outlet that I had been craving my whole childhood. It was the jumping off point for me, and college helped me see more value in my creativity.
Through hands-on experiences and a building body of freelance work, I have learned a great deal of skills that have honed my writing, photography, and design skills.
I have played an integral role in building a city-reaching brand for sustainability communications, oversaw the University of Nevada's PRSSA chapter as Chapter President, helped plan a regional conference for PRSSA, and am continually learning new things with each day.
I have a personal philosophy that the learning process is never over. While I am proud of the repository of work I have so far, I am constantly in pursuit of learning more and evolving my skillset. I am an established writer published by the City of Reno, a photographer with private and commercial clientele, and a budding designer that has already made a mark in the local circles.
Work Terms
I try to keep my work hours tidy and concise, 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday. I will work on weekends and extend my work hours at an additional rate.
$112/hr is my standard rate for both photography sessions and design projects, with 50% of total project estimate due upfront. First drafts for design-work can be expected a week before the given deadline to ensure any edits can be made without affecting client timeline.
Blog and article rates are $75 per article, 2 revisions maximum. Any further revisions needed will add an additional $30 per revision.
