About

My work history shows a linking thread of resourcefulness, teamwork, creativity, and strategy. Count on me to bring my unique perspective to any role I take on.

I'm someone who:

• Takes initiative. I acted as the editor-in-chief for over four years of Techcitement, a popular tech blog I cofounded. In this role, I provided story prompts to writers and studied site analytics to understand trends and favored topics to gain new readers. I pushed writers to focus on technology's connection to different topics, such as politics, social justice movements, movies, and music. During my time as EIC, I edited 99 percent of the nearly 1,500 published articles. In addition, I created the site’s style guide.

• Can adapt. I create a wide variety of content and can translate that content through any medium, whether it's written or visual. I’ve created web copy for a massage therapy business, a restaurant review column for the A.V. Club, UI copy for PayPal, video scripts for CDW TechVision, landing pages/email campaigns for CompassLearning, and more. Plus, I’ve fashioned social media campaigns that saw a 1,000 percent increase in organic traffic.

• Has a collaborative spirit. I have extensive experience working with and supervising remote and onsite staff to foster individual creativity while crafting a unified voice to build a forward-thinking, open-minded, and trusting team environment. Creatively, performing as an improviser allows me to instill trust in others to instantly create cohesive stories.

• Thinks outside the box and knows importance of structure. My time as an improviser combined with my writing/editing history makes me especially quick with alternative viewpoints and solutions while also applying established successful policies.
