AI Automation & Curriculum Specialist | Fractional CFO
I help mission-led organisations and small businesses move from “we should really use AI” to AI that’s actually built, adopted and understood by the people who have to use it every day.
I bring 15+ years of senior finance, operations and governance leadership — including Chief Financial Officer, Fractional CFO, and, since 2023, sole responsibility for Finance, HR, IT and Governance at an international non-profit managing NZD 15 million in funding — combined with hands-on AI curriculum design, automation builds and digital skills training delivered through my own practice, SimplicAI.
Recent work includes:
• Designing and building a custom AI-enabled Grant Management System (Knack) that cut processing time by 50%
• Automating finance, HR and grants workflows using Power Automate, Make and Zapier
• Designing and piloting an AI curriculum — including a dedicated accessibility and workplace re-entry module — now used to train non-technical and returning-to-work learners on Microsoft Co-Pilot, Claude and low-code tools
• Nine years as a Fractional CFO and MSD Flexiwage Vetting Agent, coaching business owners through budgets, forecasts and feasibility planning
I hold a Master of Applied Management (thesis: AI in Accounting/Professional Services) and I’m as comfortable presenting to a board as I am sitting with someone who has never used AI before.
