I have been a software architect, engineer and principal designer at several research institutes and venture funded start-up companies. I was Software Architect at Smith Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, and was previously a Senior Research Engineer at SRI. I received the FCC 2014 Award for Advancement in Accessibility, and I own a patent for combining speech synthesis and telephony. holds a BSEE from Purdue University, and a MSECE from the University of Michigan.
