About

I’m a highly motivated, goal oriented person. I have a passion for social media and digital presence. I love writing, creating content and interacting with people online.

Education
My highest qualification is a Master of Arts Second Class First Division completed in 2001. The focus of my thesis was media studies and the study of human interaction on the internet. I helped set the ethics guidelines for human research over the internet for Waikato University.

I have also completed a Certificate in Information Communication Technology (level 3) at WINTEC in 2008 which allowed me to explore the Microsoft Office Suite, html coding as well as other aspects of Information Technology. In 2014 I also did a diploma in Online Marketing from Shaw Academy.

Work History
I have been working fulltime in the Energy industry here in New Zealand since 2002. As part of my roles during that time I have worked in a contact centre, and spent time dealing with customer letters and emails. I have been a test analyst, a process improvement (Lean Six Sigma) Business Analyst and a Change Manager.

Outside of paid work, I have held several volunteer roles writing for blogs, forums and several online magazines. From 2002 - 2003 I wrote for nzbridal and nzgirl.co.nz. From 2003 - 2005 I was a forum moderator for NewZealandWeddingPlanner.co.nz. From 2005 - 2007 I wrote for betterliving.co.nz (since rebranded) as a feature writer and contribution editor. I came back to writing in 2013 for Kiwireviews.co.nz and I'm now an admin for their Facebook page as well as assistant editor for their e-zine. I also work as a hostess for Kidspot NZ.

Ideally I would like to move to working online in writing and as a social media virtual assistant full time in 2 - 3 years.

Work Terms

Available part time 10 - 15 hours. Payment via paypal. Prefer communication via email, but Skype is available.
