Work Experience:
I have worked with computers since 1984. Passed many diplomas for Hardware upto chip level, and stood 1st in India in many of them. Working on the Internet since DOS time.
Worked for 20 years with a Pvt. web site which handled live events. This also included in transcripting, translating, close captioning and subtitling the speeches given on the stage in various languages for the web site
After retirement, worked for 7 years, at International call center in the Technical field for companies like Times Warner, Dell Computers. Optus, Adobe etc
Currently working as freelancer doing transcription/translations, for Marathi, Hindi, English.
Translated for technical, websites, books, films, Audio/Video transcriptions etc.
Lent voice to All India Radio, Airport Authority of India, Educational content, privately published material etc.
Languages:
• Basically I am proficient in Hindi and Marathi as far as the Indian languages go. Marathi is my mothertongue.
• Passed Prasar Bharti (Govt. of India) conducted Hindi exams upto Kovid.
• Passed Sanskrit Exams conducted by Govt. of India.
• Proficiecy in English.
I have read more than 800+ books in Marathi, about 700+ in Hindi, and about 900+ in English. This reading encompasses fiction as well as non fiction. The subjects vary from philosophy, psychology, cooking, gardening, embroidary, karate, autobiographies, biographies, etc.
