Passionate storyteller, precise editor, reliable translator
Whether it's telling a captivating story, designing a straightforward brochure, or editing a research paper - I have loved writing since my first newspaper internship 15 years ago and have produced and edited a great variety of writings every since. Recently, I have been all about the art of storytelling - but then again, who hasn't? - and experiment with applying it to different formats, from project proposals to information material, from social media to website content.
Currently, I work at an Austrian women's NGO, where I'm responsible for producing a bucketload of text every day - which I love! - be it a keynote speech, a project report or correspondence with government officials. I manage the two executives' appointments, plan events and meetings, and facilitate communication between management, employees, customers, partners, donors, and decision makers. Over the past three years I have built extensive know-how in gender mainstreaming, women's rights, gender equality in the digital age, and the integration of (female) refugees, all of which I am very passionate about.
With a bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology and a master's in NGO management my portfolio also includes (social) marketing, intercultural project management, human resources, funding and financing as well as social policy.
Recently, my dream of moving abroad and working in an international NGO has merged into a concrete plan: My flight to Amman, Jordan is booked for September 25th. I'm hoping to apply my know-how in humanitarian aid and peacebuilding, expanding my skills and finally learning Arabic.
