Hello! My name is Melinna Bayona and let me tell you a story.
In 2020, I gave birth to my first son. After his birth, I fell ill and was admitted back into the hospital at only 8 days postpartum. Doctors discovered I had developed pre-eclampsia, pulmonary edema (fluid in my lungs), and possible postpartum cardiomyopathy (heart failure). While laying in my hospital bed, alone and fearing that I could be leaving behind my dear husband and my newborn son, I wept. Fast forward a few days, I recovered well and was able to go home with blood pressure medication and had to check my blood pressure twice a day. I also went home a changed person. A fire had been lit inside me.
I knew I had been going through the motions my entire life. And after that incident, I had to find my passion in life. That's when I found Software Engineering. Ever since discovering my love for code, I've never looked back. Every day is a new exciting day to learn something new, to create something new.
While the days of checking my blood pressure and multiple meds are way behind me and I fully recovered, I am grateful that I went through that experience just so I could come out a new person.

Work Terms
Hours of operation: I can typically work between 8am to 4pm EST and after 8pm EST.
Payment terms: I require a deposit down for work and for pay, we can work out a lump sum or hourly rate.
Communication: I always have my phone on me but I sometimes am dealing with other clients so email and text are highly preferred but initially we can do zoom calls to get details to get the project started!
