Ever since I was a little kid, I have been fascinated by understanding how things operate and always tried to find better, more efficient ways to make them work. I still remember tinkering with my toy cars’ gears to try and make them go faster, or organising my school bag so it would be easier to find what I needed depending on what lesson it was. As I went on through my life, I began noticing patterns and making connections in everyday things that I do. I was fascinated by this new superpower I had!

This skill that I was yet to fully understand carried me through my education at the German University in Cairo. There, I majored in electronics engineering and I was taken away by the sheer amount of analytical work and methodologies we were using in either the design, fabrication or troubleshooting phases of our study. I studied new languages, algorithms, compilers, higher mathematics, all with pretty much the same fascination that drove me as a kid. And it was here that I learned truly how much there was yet to learn.

So, now, in industry, this passion remains with me. There's certainly yet more to learn, yet more problems to solve, and yet more to build. And for this, I am very grateful.
