About

Possessing an uncanny ability to help others shine, I will take your basic writing project and fashion it into something exceptional.

A product of Midwestern pioneer stock, my early education was anchored in the traditional Three Rs proffered by a rural school district. I received an Alumni Scholarship to study music at Nebraska Wesleyan, aspiring to be a high school music teacher. Upon learning I lacked the music theory discipline and requisite talents of my musician peers, I played to my strengths in English composition and Religion/Philosophy, switching majors before wasting any more of my music teachers' time and patience.

Over the years I extended my English major and liberal arts studies predominantly into the disciplines of comparative religions, language arts, ancient history, archeology, sociology, and psychology. I continue to be interested in just about everything. I approach learning holistically, often exploring how seemingly diverse disciplines are interconnected. As long as I'm learning, I know I'm alive.

My language and clerical skills allowed me to move into executive level secretary positions beginning at age 24. I worked at that level of responsibility in the fields of education, medicine, and law until 2003. Whether working full time or between positions, I always seemed to be freelancing on the side.

As a matter of course, I made a natural progression from secretarial duties to those of a virtual assistant. I began working with a clearing-house of sorts for Internet-based assistants and entrepreneurs in 2004. Once I grasped the concept well enough, I struck out on my own. Coming 'round full circle, I am now focusing on something I truly love: helping other people's words approach perfection while assisting them in achieving their goals. I can't tell you how much fun this is for me ... and I am thrilled to share that joy with you.

Work Terms

I prefer to work with a scope-of-work contract with milestones, setting out what work will be done and when it will be delivered and what payment is expected along the way. I generally work weekdays, approximately 3-4 hours a day. However, I am flexible for small contracts and can fit in rush jobs, sometimes with short notice, on an hourly basis.
