Flutter engineer & Software Department Head, building production-ready apps, not prototypes, for real businesses

I'm a Flutter engineer and Software Department Head, currently leading a 17-person engineering team at a technology company serving GCC clients. My day job is building the technical standards, architecture, and processes a team that size runs on — code review practices, release pipelines, and the kind of discipline that catches problems before they reach production.

I bring that same discipline to freelance work. In the past year I've shipped three real, production apps: a social discovery platform with live maps and real-time check-ins, an AI-powered virtual try-on app for a fashion retailer, and a two-sided hiring platform with AI job-post generation and applicant tracking. I've also built Windows desktop systems that connect to real hardware — RFID readers and thermal printers — and custom-coded websites for medical booking, e-commerce, and B2B services.

One thing I specialize in: genuine Arabic right-to-left interfaces — not machine-translated text, but properly mirrored layouts and typography. I'm originally from Pakistan, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and bilingual in English and Urdu. I'm not personally fluent in spoken Arabic, but I've built and reviewed enough real Arabic RTL products that it's become a genuine specialty, which matters if you're building for GCC or MENA markets.

Outside of code, I spend real time on the visual and brand side of what I build — logo design, typography, the kind of decisions that make a product feel considered rather than templated.

Work Terms

I'm based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (GMT+3). I typically respond within an hour during working hours and within 24 hours outside them.

For project work, I ask for a deposit before starting, with the remainder due on delivery or in milestones for larger projects. I'm happy to structure payment however works best for you.

I communicate primarily through Guru's messaging system, and I'm glad to jump on a call via Google Meet or WhatsApp for anything easier to discuss live.
