About

PhD Environmental Engineer & Climate Resilience Consultant | World Bank • ADPC • UN Programme Delivery

I'm an international development professional with over two decades of experience across climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, water resources engineering, WASH, and humanitarian response, working primarily across Pakistan and the South Asia region.
My background began in engineering, I hold a PhD in Environmental Engineering and spent many years in academia, including leading a university department focused on water resources and disaster management. That technical foundation carries through into my consulting work today, from hydrology and flood-risk modelling to water supply design and environmental compliance studies.
Over the years, I've delivered training, policy, and technical assignments for government agencies, international donors, and UN organizations, designing capacity-building programmes, leading technical studies, and supporting post-disaster response efforts during some of the region's major disasters. I've also stayed active in research and knowledge management, with a body of published work and postgraduate supervision to match.
I work with government agencies, donors, NGOs, and consulting or engineering firms who need a technically credible partner, equally comfortable in a policy meeting, a hydrology model, or a flood-affected district, to help design, deliver, and report on climate and disaster-resilience programming.
