I am a highly experienced Senior System Administrator with ten years of experience in the information technology and services industry. I have a strong skillset in Oracle Database, Linux System Administration, Domain Name System (DNS), Linux, and Troubleshooting, with extensive experience in Redhat Linux, system administration, scripting, ansible, Solaris, security remediation, compliance, server, and cloud.
In my current role at FIS in the Philippines, I have identified and resolved gaps in the documentation related to file and directory handling and command-line environments. I have also developed and implemented automated systems using Python and Bash to streamline file handling and directory management, saving over 20 hours of manual work per week and increasing accuracy by 95%.
I am also responsible for managing the deployment and maintenance of Redhat Satellite and operating running systems, evaluating customer security programs, technologies, controls, and business environments, and developing Information Security Plans and Policies.
In addition to my current role, I work as a Linux writer at unixcop.com, creating comprehensive documentation as tutorials and reference guides for Linux, DevOps, and technology. I am skilled in producing user-friendly materials that cater to the intended audience's needs, focusing on step-by-step instructions.
As a Cloud Support Engineer at Freelancer.com, I worked with Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure, deploying multiple nodes using Terraform, configuring pub keys and different specifications, and creating Ansible playbooks. I also integrated Linux servers with Active Directory (AD), managed user permissions, file permissions, service users, and security policy, and exported syslog to ELK and reports. I have knowledge in Unix/Linux administration and managing various related projects, specializing in system building using operating systems such as RHEL, SuSE, Solaris, and ESX. In my previous roles, I completed several challenging projects that required extensive support for the US region. These projects involved building a robust fleet of servers for the application team, ensuring that all systems were remediated correctly and hardened to meet the highest security standards.
As a professional, playing guitar as a hobby allows me to hone my creative expression. The discipline and commitment required to learn and improve my guitar playing also translate into my work, allowing me to approach tasks with focus and dedication.
