Civil Engineer | Structural Design & CAD Automation Developer
About Me:
Hi, I'm Wilson. As a professional Civil Engineer, I bridge the gap between structural design and software automation. I don't just draw lines; I build practical tools that help engineering teams eliminate repetitive tasks, extract precise data, and reduce manual errors.
My expertise is divided into two core pillars:
1. CAD Automation (Python & AutoLISP)
Developing custom Python and AutoLISP scripts to process complex 2D DWG/DXF files and automate quantity takeoffs.
Building realistic "assisted workflows" tailored to your exact needs. Recently, I developed a custom AutoLISP suite for a US Fire Protection engineer that drastically cut down their manual layout generation time.
2. Structural Drafting & Technical Design
High-quality 2D drafting and structural detailing using AutoCAD.
Specialized technical design focusing on automotive workshops, garages, and precise commercial evacuation/safety plans.
The Differentiator:
Unlike generic web or software programmers, I understand the actual engineering logic behind the CAD layers, blocks, and tolerances. I know what makes a floor plan work in the real world.
Whether you need accurate structural plans or a custom script to speed up your team's drafting process, I can help you build a reliable solution. Let's discuss how we can optimize your project delivery.
Work Terms
Working Hours & Timezone:
I am based in GMT+7. However, I am highly flexible and actively overlap my schedule with US and EU timezones to ensure smooth communication, attend meetings, and provide timely updates.
Communication Style:
Clear and prompt communication is my priority. I guarantee a response within 12 hours. I prefer keeping daily project tracking on the platform's workspace for transparency. However, I am always available for video calls (Zoom/Google Meet) for initial project discovery, technical discussions, and milestone reviews.
Payment Terms:
I am open to both hourly contracts and fixed-price agreements.
For hourly contracts: I use the platform's time tracker for full transparency.
For fixed-price projects: I prefer a milestone-based approach (e.g., Discovery - Prototyping - Final Implementation). This ensures steady progress and allows you to review the work at each logical step.
Prototyping Policy:
For CAD automation projects, I am willing to develop a quick, small-scale prototype (AutoLISP or Python) based on your sample files before formal commitments to ensure complete technical alignment.
