In August, 2010, Nigel founded Appweavers Inc., after securing an exclusive, multi-product licensing agreement with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, publisher of the best selling Peterson series of nature guides.
Appweavers' award-winning Peterson Birds of North America app — released in December, 2010 — was one of the top selling apps in the App Store Reference section, and was featured by Apple in the October 2013 video introducing the iPad Air.
In April 2014, Appweavers sold the Peterson apps to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
