I'm a DevOps engineer based in Ukraine. For the past few years I've been working with an Austrian fintech company, where I manage 80+ physical servers running on Hetzner and Proxmox — everything from regular WordPress sites to financial processing systems that can't afford downtime.
Servers are what I do every day. Installing Proxmox, setting up Docker, fixing broken Nginx configs, chasing down why a box is acting weird, locking things down properly so they don't get hacked — this is my normal routine, not something I read about once.
I try to keep things simple when I work with people. I'll tell you honestly what needs doing, do it carefully (especially on live production servers), and explain what I did so you're not left in the dark. No overcharging, no dragging things out.
