I have been working with IT since the 90's. Experiment with coding at a young age using a C64 and took an interest in the internet and making websites around 1995. I published my first website in 1997.
I started my professional career at 1999 as a part time IT support staff job in a medium size import company, which later in 2001 turned into a full time. There I crafted an extranet service to digitalize their then snail mail/phone order system for B2B and upkept the servers for the system (windows and linux) as well as coding various browser based tools to automate various HR intensive jobs.
Later in 2003 we started an online shop project, during which I translated the ZenCart project to Finnish and made several payment gateway integration modules for Finnish banking gateways. I also integrated ZenCart with the order management and billing software used at that time.
In 2006 I started my own company with some friends where I was in charge of building our online shop and handling marketing and various other tasks. From there to 2012 I balanced between our shop and freelancing for various other companies with their website projects. In 2012 we desided to close our shop (due to recession in Finland) and ever since I have been focusing on various software projects.
In 2013 I started providing hosting services and domain management for my clients in a Linux VPS envioment.
I love Linux and have been using it since 1998 as my main operating system.
I was a co-developer of the Leka Rescue Floppy distribution in early 2000 which was originally a graduation job.
With my spare time I play frisbeegolf, work on (under?) my cars or renovate our home.
I'm a relaxed guy who takes his job seriously.
Work Terms
I'm usually working from Monday-Friday 6:00 - 14.00 GMT, but do work on projects on evenings and weekends if neccessary and/or the family allows.
Because of the ever increasing amount of spam marketing calls (which interrupt working!) I do not answer to unknown phone calls. You may contact me initially by E-mail.
Also as a non-native english speaker, I find it less confusing to communicate with email/chat rather than over a bad voice quality phone line.
Billing happens two times in month, 15th and the last day of month. Payment time is 7 days (unless otherwise agreed upon). Payment by invoice or by PayPal.
Advance fees may apply depending on the size of the project.
