About

Your partner on the editing journey.

If you're a creative looking to stand out with perfectly crafted copy, I'm your girl.

I'm Rachel - proofreader, editor, and writer.

Developing a smooth editing process doesn't just happen overnight. It's not as simple as pulling up spellcheck and calling it a day. There's nothing that can compare to a true human-to-human partnership to refine copy and make sure you said exactly what you wanted to say in a clear, concise, on-brand way.

I worked as a stage manager for years, and the one thing I always share with clients is how amazing the process of script development feels in the room. Actors, playwrights, musicians, and directors all collaborate and bring pieces of themselves into the space. It's pure magic when done right.

That magic is what I seek to bring out in my clients with every project.

The Mercer Method is all about maintaining your unique voice - your "magic" if you will. I start every client meeting by letting them know my goal is to enhance what they've done, not change what they've sought out to create. That's so important.

My favorite thing in the whole world in my business is watching a writer realize that with one simple syntactical switch, they can convey their intent in a much clearer way. Those moments are why I happily hack away and refine stories and websites!

Being a part of the development process is in my DNA. I have worked primarily as a proofreader, editor, and stage manager throughout my career and seeing a project from the start all the way until the floors are swept, the scripts are put away, and the doors are locked (figuratively and literally) is my joy. Stories, scripts, brands - they all take on their own life at some point and live in other people's hearts, minds, etc.

I am currently accepting new clients to partner with on the editing journey and would love to see how I can assist you with your latest project!
