Dr. Eckhart has over 60 years of combined industrial, business, and academic experience. With degrees through the doctoral level in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and Penn State University, he has held industrial positions with several well-known corporations including Monsanto, Exxon, Honeywell, Parsons, and SimSci. In addition, he has been on the faculties of several colleges and universities including Azusa Pacific University (Azusa, CA), Penn State University (University Park, PA), Villanova University (Villanova, PA), UCLA (Los Angeles, CA), University of Maryland (College Park, MD), Cal State – Fullerton (Fullerton, CA), and others in addition to California National University in both the face-to-face and online environments.

Dr. Eckhart has experience as an applications software developer using Visual Basic, Oracle, FORTRAN, BASIC, and C/C++ programming languages. He specializes in mathematical modeling, steady-state and dynamic simulation, process control, and custom applications software development. He is an experienced site developer for the World Wide Web and has also been a Registered Professional Engineer.
