I have used MSExcel / MSAccess VBA and many other databases and IDEs as development tools for many years going back to the early 1990s. They have been incredible tools for me that have more than satisfied my clients over the years.
The most important MSExcel/VBA and MSAccess/VBA solutions I delivered were for Morgan Stanley in Jersey City, NJ. I developed two solutions for them: one for reconciling state reporting of payroll taxes for their retirement group services; and one for reconciliation of their stock purchase plans recordkeeping services.
I have written and enhanced Excel/MSAccess VBA systems for transportation providers, lobbying and event management organizations, non-profit asset inventory, researchers, facility management, financial reconciliation and commission payments. They are awesome business tools in the right situations.
