Business Analysis: Reporting System Architect and Systems Analyst
• Design, development, deployment, and management for multi-user/multi-location infrastructures
• Liaison between users and development teams for planning, design, development, and deployment
• SQL analysis and development—views, stored procedures, triggers, ETL, ad hoc reporting
• Data mart planning, design, development, deployment, optimization, maintenance
• Financial services: including multi-currency, fixed income and derivatives; G/L; risk analysis
• Healthcare; sales pipeline/CRM; aviation
• System migrations, merges, and upgrades
Project Management
• Needs analysis, procedural analysis, development for publishing/presentations
• User requirements and specifications; QA testing; deployment planning; DR preparedness
• Team supervision; management of development staff (including off-site/remote)
• Direct vendor contact and vendor resource utilization
• Instructional, procedural, and reference documentation design—internal or client-facing
• Client/server applications development and documentation
Work Terms
I'm flexible but prefer to keep U.S. East Coast business hours. I can complete remote assignments using either Citrix/VPN or something like LogMeIn, TeamViewer, or Kasaeya for client systems access. Data-related tasks can also be handled through cloud-based hosting. For ongoing assignments, I'll invoice weekly or bi-weekly, depending upon the accumulated hours. My hourly rate varies from $85 to $175, depending upon the longevity and complexity of the work involved. For fixed-rate projects, we'll arrange 30/30/40 payments based on milestones starting with an agreement on a formal statement of work.
