Dr. Sarah Hesham Rashed
I am an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Energy and Industry at Borg El-Arab Technological University, and a researcher at EJUST and the City of Scientific Research. My research focuses on nanotechnology, water treatment, carbon dioxide storage, green energy (including green hydrogen), and the application of AI and IoT in sustainable technologies. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in climate change, specifically exploring the integration of water treatment, carbon capture, and renewable energy systems. Expert in Ai chemistry LLMmodelling.
I have published in top Q1 journals, with a focus on innovative techniques for pollutant removal from water. I serve as a Sustainable Development Ambassador and climate change trainer, and I am an active member of YOUNGO (the UN’s youth constituency for climate). I represented Egypt at COP27, COP28, and COP29, where I received multiple awards for best policy papers and research contributions.
As an entrepreneur, I lead a textile recycling initiative using materials extracted from treated wastewater. I frequently speak at international conferences and events, and I train youth and professionals in AI, IoT, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. I am a graduate of several national and international leadership programs and a proud member of the women-led green hydrogen initiative in the MENA region. My work bridges scientific research, innovation, climate policy, and community engagement.
