Hello, I'm Scott! I'm a native Hoosier now residing near Chicago in the USA. (FYI - Although I'm new to Guru.com, I'm not new to WordPress web services and partnering with clients from all over the world.)
I thrive on exercising my creative abilities in the service of others. It’s a beautiful yet challenging way to live. With web design, I love to create a web presence for clients that is true to their purpose, message, and goals. And I enjoy using the principles of design to craft a unique and engaging website. It’s loads of fun and takes hard work. But a web design project is well worth it for me and my clients.
After a client and I complete a web design project, I continue to support them. The ins and outs of maintaining a website can be challenging. So I work hard to provide ongoing support to clients. My web design service is a partnership. And you can rely on me to support the health and effectiveness of your website.
I have nearly a decade of experience with WordPress. It’s my preferred platform for web design work. It allows me to build a website with a robust content management system. With this foundation, I craft the look and functionality with a variety of tools and skills. Some include CSS, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Photoshop, and digital marketing/SEO best practices.
It’s important from the start that you know I’m a self-employed professional. Web design agencies can work, but I specialize in a one-on-one partnership with my clients. In most cases, I serve small business owners, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and solo creatives. With my individual approach, I have the ability to partner with you from the first web page to the last. I am accessible, flexible, and reliable.
Work Terms
I'm typically available for client work between 9AM and 5PM Central Time on US business days. But I can work outside those limits on a case by case basis.
I offer my services at $65 per hour or with milestone payments based on a fixed price contract.
For communication with clients, I'm flexible, but prefer a weekly check-in call and then mostly email/chat based messaged throughout each week of a partnership.
