If there is a project beyond my reach, I'd respectfully turn it down than waste either of our time and try and steer you to accomplished individuals in my network who may better be suited.
I do this on a part-time/side basis and contract on projects that we have a mutual fit for and a high likelihood of success. This allows me to focus more attention on in progress projects and provide you with greater momentum in closing out the project.
