About

Japanese Localization & Content QA for Websites, Apps, UI and Subtitles

I am a native Japanese speaker and a design vocational student based in Japan. Through web design projects, I work with Japanese copy, information hierarchy, UI text, responsive layouts, and detailed quality checks across desktop and mobile.

I am currently building my professional localization experience and do not claim commercial translation experience I have not earned. I welcome entry tests and can provide original practice samples. I can support English-to-Japanese localization, subtitle adaptation, UI string review, Japanese proofreading, and review of AI- or machine-translated Japanese when explicitly permitted.

My priorities are accuracy, natural tone, terminology consistency, context, and readability. For UI and subtitle work, I also consider character limits, line breaks, reading speed, and the intended user action.

AI or machine translation is used only when the client explicitly allows it. Every final Japanese text is reviewed manually, and I do not submit wording that I cannot explain or verify.

Work Terms

Availability: approximately 10–20 hours per week. Additional availability during school breaks can be confirmed per project. I normally reply within 24 hours.

Before starting, I confirm the source format, word count, intended audience, tone, delivery format, deadline, and revision expectations. I prefer written communication through Guru so requirements and changes remain clear.

For hourly work, I track time only for agreed tasks and provide progress updates. For fixed-price work, milestones, deliverables, and payment arrangements should be agreed through Guru before work begins.

If AI or machine translation is prohibited or unclear, I do not use it. I do not send confidential materials to external AI services unless the client has expressly approved that processing. All Japanese deliverables are manually checked before submission.
