Results-driven Mechanical Engineer with 6+ years of experience in mechanical design, engineering consulting, and project management.

I am a Mechanical Engineer Graduated in 2019 from IIEST, Shibpur, Howrah. I have experience in working as a Design Engineering Consultant since graduation for more than 6 years in 3 different companies namely DCPL Kolkata (for 3.5 years), TCE Kolkata(for 2.5 years) and Petrocon Engineers and Consultants Hyderabad (for 1 month).

I designed Cement Plants in the first two years. My notable projects were 3000 TPD Mombasa Cement Grinding Unit, Tamil Nadu Cements Cement Plant expansion at Ariyalur, Dangote Cements expansion at Ivory Coast. I used to prepare tender specification for raw material storage areas, Clinker preparation units, Cement grinding units. Evaluation of Bids, meeting with bidders for any clarification of technical queries, Preparation of TBER, drawing and document review of the successful bidders.

Then I got the chance to design some chemical plants for about 1.5 years like Aluminum refineries at NALCO Damanjodi, HZL RD Mines Zinc and Lead Beneficiation plant and GAC Uranium refinery at Niger. For the NALCO Project, I mainly designed Bauxite Handling systems from mines to the refinery, prepared PFD, Evaluated Bids of the bauxite handling system comprising of a crusher, screen, belt conveyors, and a long distance conveyor of about 6.5 kms, review of drawings and documents like GAs of conveyors, Transfer houses, detail drawings of conveyor components, DBRs, Conveyor power calculations.

For HZL Zn and Pb beneficiation plant, I was the Lead Mechanical Engineer and worked on mainly the design review of drawings like GAs of conveyors, TTs, Flotation cells, Thickeners, Filter Presses, Ball mills, Piping layouts, isometrics and HVAC. I was became the Project Manager of this project after my Previous PM left the organization. I managed the deliverables list and collected the invoices from the client and make sure the project closed as smoothly as possible.

For GACs' Uranium refinery plant, I worked in preparation of PFDs and P&IDs of bringing the Run Of Mines Uranium ore to the Uranium refinery which consisted of Jaw Crusher, Apron Feeder, Stacker and Reclaimer, Vibrating Screen and SAG mill. I also prepared the Technical Specification for all these equipment including Belt conveying system in the refinery area and Evaluated the Technical Bids and helped with the GA preparation and the Equipment List of the entire plant as this was a Detailed Engineering project.

I joined TCE as a Senior Engineer and worked on a Detailed Engineering Project called Scrubber bypass arrangement for Tata Steel Khondbond, Odisha. I designed two belt conveyors which bypassed the scrubbers. I also trained few trainees and did expansion projects for Tata steel, Hindalco and modeled standard conveyor components in Inventor for using them readily in future projects by changing few parameters.

At Petrocon, I am a Piping Stress Engineer.

I love to do 3D modeling in Onshape, simulation in SimScale during my free time and have done courses on CFD and SolidWorks.

Work Terms

Flexible work timings, working hours negotiable during contract. For the contracts having billing per deliverable, the payment shall be done after the submission of each deliverable. For hourly rate contact, preferably billing shall be done at the end of each day as per the total no. of hours worked on that day. However, the billing cycle can be discussed and negotiated during the contract finalization.
