About

I am currently a .Net developer and have been doing this for over 15 years now. Overall I have about 23 years experience in Windows and Web based application development. I started out buying then teaching myself Visual Basic to learn a little something about event-driven programming. I then got a job at a local software company that manufactured a VB-like front-end development tool where I got a chance to code in C (which I learned through a class I took previously) and the Windows API. From there I moved on to C++, MFC, ATL then finally on to .Net.

I was asked in an interview once what my greatest strength was as a developer. I answered 'survivability' which I thought was an appropriate response given the number of times I've had to adjust/add to my skill set in order to keep up with the constantly changing IT industry/job market.

Other interests:

Would love to do more sun laden sunsets/sunrises or some really interesting architectural shots but unfortunately I don't live on or near a beach or have the means to travel the country/world right now.
I am also a big music fan and have been drumming (though not professionally) since I took lessons way back in my pre-teen days. I've been saving up for a new electronic kit for about a decade now but never seem to get around to buying it. The Roland TD-1DMK Essential bundle from Kraft Music is the one i hope to get
