Machine Learning Engineer & Research Specialist | Turning Data and Ideas into Intelligent Solutions
Hi, I’m Syed Sarib Naveed, a Machine Learning Engineer and Researcher with a strong passion for building intelligent systems and writing impactful research.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, where I specialized in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. Over the last few years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in machine learning, data analysis, and research publication, combining academic rigor with real-world engineering.
I’ve co-authored two papers published in Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio):
1- Scene Flow-Based Deep Network for Hand Reconstruction Using Depth Images: where I designed and optimized the deep learning modules that combined scene flow and reconstruction for smooth 3D hand modeling.
2- Optimizing Imbalanced Learning with Genetic Algorithm: where I implemented a GA-based oversampling pipeline to improve classification on highly imbalanced datasets.
Beyond research, I’ve built several AI systems — from a real-time traffic-violation detection platform and Urdu OCR engine to a gesture-based recognition system that won 2nd place at the LUMS AI Nexus Hackathon.
I’m currently working as an Associate Software Engineer at Techfoot, contributing to a SaaS platform (SpreeSuite) by developing and optimizing backend and ML-integrated modules using Python, Node.js, Angular, and Docker.
I will do
1- End-to-end Machine Learning Solutions — data preprocessing, model design, training, and deployment.
2- Research Writing & Technical Documentation — literature reviews, experiment reports, journal articles, and white-papers in AI/ML.
3- Deep Learning & Model Optimization — CNNs, Transformers, autoencoders, and GANs.
4- Data Science & Analytics — feature engineering, model evaluation, and performance tuning.
5- MLOps & Deployment — containerized ML models, AWS services, and CI/CD integration.
I enjoy exploring how intelligent systems can be made more efficient and reliable, and I take pride in writing research that contributes meaningful insights to the AI community.
Outside of work, I like reading about emerging AI trends, experimenting with open-source models, and occasionally mentoring junior students on AI projects.
If you’re looking for someone who can translate complex data problems into deployable models or craft a well-structured research paper that meets academic standards, I’d love to collaborate. Let’s bring your project to life!
