SafePay


    SafePay is a shared account between you and your Employer. It gives you a simple and secure way to get paid for your work.

    Once SafePay is funded by your Employer, you can work and deliver work with confidence.

    When funds are in SafePay neither you or the Employer has direct access to them. Funds can only be released when your Employer uses them to pay an invoice or after you both have had the opportunity to Approve or Edit a release request.

    Funds in SafePay can be used to pay for any work that is done. They are not directly connected to any one invoice or task.

    In general, we recommend these steps when using SafePay:

    1. Once SafePay is funded, begin work.
    2. Provide work to the Employer and let them review it.
    3. The Employer releases the funds from SafePay and you get paid!

    If you and the Employer can’t agree on how the funds should be released, either of you can request Arbitration.

    Note: Any work you do without funds in SafePay, is at your own risk.

    How to Request Funds
    Funds can be automatically requested based on your agreement or you can manually submit a request for SafePay to be funded.

    To Request Funds manually:

    1. Select the job title from the “Jobs” section.
    2. On the left side of the screen – click on the box that says, “SafePay”.
    3. Find the blue “+ Request Funds” button
    4. Enter the amount you want to request.
    5. Confirm the request with the blue button that says, “Add Funds”

    If you need to edit or delete your request, follow the same steps but choose: Edit Request or Delete Request.

    How to Release Funds
    Our “Release Funds” tool lets you distribute funds from SafePay.

    If you request to release funds to yourself, we give the Employer (7) days to respond. If the Employer does not respond, the funds will automatically be released to your CashAccount.

    To submit a release request:

    1. Select the job title from the “Jobs” section.
    2. On the left side of the screen – click on the box that says, “SafePay”.
    3. Find the blue “- Release Funds” button.
    4. Enter the amount you want to release to each party.
    5. Check and make sure the amounts are correct and click the box agreeing to the terms of the release.
    6. Click the blue box that says, “Release Funds”.

    Any funds not released will remain in SafePay.

    If you and the Employer can’t agree on how the funds should be distributed, you can request Arbitration.
