I teach English and Drama where my main aim is to not only tackle the National Curriculum but also to build confidence, encourage ability and to create a relaxed and inspiring environment. I have taught Drama and Singing at several Stagecoach’s throughout the UK (Early Stages and Main School) as well as private Drama schools and academies. I have hosted many workshops in Drama and Singing for some independent theatre schools too. Alongside this, I am a private tutor for children from Key Stage One right through to A' Level, teaching English Literature/Language and Drama. For me, teaching is a real passion alongside my acting work and an opportunity for me to pass on my skills and knowledge to children who are either finding difficulties or need private tuition in order to progress. I remember developing though my educational years, and realising how important it was to have a good tutor; someone that you could not only trust in but also be reassured by in order to take you though your study, which can often be challenging. My experience has allowed me to generate enthusiasm, demonstrate my literary analysis skills and display communication skills that are universal in their approach and practice. In my experience, the most important element of teaching is building confidence and encouraging the strength not to give up but to keep trying no matter what the challenge.
