A.I means 'Artificial Intelligence'. It is a complicated notion and there is not a consensus on a precise definition of the term. A.I groups in fact a series of concepts and technologies where computers (or machines in general) demonstrate some sort of proper intelligence. That proper intelligence greatly varies with the techniques, the components and the algorithms. Often it is the 'illusion' of a proper intelligence rather than a proper intelligence itself. The frontiers between A.I, advanced statistics, decision theory or linear programming, for example, are not exactly defined. However, A.I is efficient in general and can help humans (us) to solve a great variety of problems. When our mind may be inefficient to process certain problems, for example because of the huge amount of data to process, A.I can help. Machine Learning (ML) is a subset of A.I and probably the most commonly used A.I techniques. ML implies the concept of machines that can learn. These machines usually learn from a dataset and continuously evolve to become better and better. Two important techniques in ML are the Bayesian machines and the artificial neural networks machines. A complex neural network machine is usually referred as a 'Deep Learning' machines.
