Saudi Arabia and Canada are establishing diplomatic relations.

According to a written statement released by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was decided that the diplomatic ties between the two countries would normalize following meetings between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

It was emphasized that this decision was made within the context of the two countries' desire to re-establish diplomatic relations on the basis of mutual respect and shared interests.
