Changes on Twitter

Elon Musk, who has transformed Twitter, which he paid 44 billion dollars to acquire, has just limited the number of tweets that users can view each day. Musk eventually raised the top limit after the application that sparked the "tweet with report card" jokes received a lot of negative feedback.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has put a cap on how many tweets users can view in a day to prevent "malicious use." Initially offering 6000 views to individuals who paid the $8 "blue badge" premium and 600 views to other users, Musk subsequently boosted this number to 8000, 800, and finally 10,000 views in response to the feedback. Non-members won't be able to see any tweets in the application anymore, and new accounts will only be able to read 500 messages. Elon Musk described the ban, which drew the ire of journalists and campaigners in particular, as "temporary".

Users complained that these figures would be consumed quickly, especially by journalists who follow trends and people who need information in unusual circumstances like natural catastrophes.

You're addicted, HE COMMENTED.

The step that would significantly influence the "views" numbers, which are a crucial signal for advertisers, was misunderstood by Musk, who previously complained that Twitter did not generate money. When defending his choice, Musk used "witty" rhetoric, saying, "You wake up from a deep trance, you walk away from your phone to see your family and friends," hinting that the limit would be advantageous for users. Elon Musk also shared a mocking account's message, which read,“The reason I set the view limit is because we are addicted to Twitter and need to get out.”

Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, paid attention to the debates as well. Dorsey posted the "grass" image, evoking the advice to "Touch Grass," which is used to suggest that people who spend a lot of time at their computers get outside.

AI ACCUSED OF INTELLIGENCE

Elon Musk blamed artificial intelligence in an effort to defend his contentious choice. Musk added, "The data was being looted so much that it made the service worse for normal users." He pointed out that shares on Twitter were copied without authorization. Musk drew attention to the fact that Twitter data is being abused to train well-known artificial intelligence programs like ChatGPT with this message. Massive amounts of content that have been gathered on websites like Twitter are used as ready data for artificial intelligence training algorithms like ChatGPT. Musk said that the site's regular operations were being interfered with by the traffic that artificial intelligence bots were causing.
