A Data Annotation Expert is responsible for accurately labeling and annotating various forms of data (images, text, audio, or video) to train and improve machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) models. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and an understanding of AI/ML workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Annotate and label datasets (images, videos, text, audio) with high accuracy according to project guidelines.
Perform data tagging, categorization, and classification tasks.
Use specialized tools and software for data annotation (bounding boxes, polygons, keypoints, semantic segmentation, transcription, etc.).
Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of labeled data.
Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand annotation requirements.
Review, validate, and correct annotations to maintain high data quality standards.
Meet deadlines while handling large volumes of data efficiently.

Required Skills:

Proven experience in image, text, video, or audio annotation.
Knowledge of annotation tools (e.g., Labelbox, CVAT, SuperAnnotate, VGG Image Annotator, Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex guidelines.
Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and how data impacts model performance.
Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks with accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working on AI/ML training datasets.
Familiarity with NLP (Natural Language Processing) and computer vision projects.
Experience with crowdsourcing platforms (e.g., Amazon Mechanical Turk, Appen, Lionbridge).
Basic knowledge of Python or data processing tools (a plus but not always required).
