I have been a long time freelancer as a Spanish & English translator. I have translated a wide variety of documents and data as an independent translator such as technical documents, manuals, medical information, legal documents and even poetry or songs. Aside from general translating, I can also do proofreading for both English & Spanish and voice-over since I have knowledge in production audio and I have the proper type of equipment and environment for this type of projects. I have dual citizenship for U.S. and Mexico and grew up and had former education in both countries, so both languages are 100% native for me. When I translate, mostly to Spanish, I make sure to make it fully comprehensive for most Spanish speaking countries, not just focusing in one country because some words can have a very different meaning from country to country, this happens mostly in Latin-America and I am also careful with certain colloquialisms. I also have knowledge in web design and development, so translating programming code such as PHP, HTML and XML is no problem for me. Some past projects I have co-worked in have been song translations for mobile language learning apps, which were probably the hardest to achieve since the feeling of the song had to be translated with the vocabulary and at the same time maintain the rhythmical beat to the original song, but I succeeded well and the clients I worked with were very happy with my results. I have also translated websites. My rate is always open to negotiation, I use it as a standard base, I can also work by word if you wish.
